FAQ:

What’s the name Jonathan Rouleur?

The name “Jonathan Harris” is already in use on streaming platforms, so it was necessary (and fun) to come up with a name for this musical project.  The French word Rouleur is a term used in bicycle racing to describe an all-around cyclist: not exclusively a climber or sprinter, for example, but someone who can execute a variety of things well.  “Rouleur” aligned with the different sounds and styles on this release, and reflects Jonathan's long-time enthusiasm for the Tour de France. Also, Jonathan’s middle name is Richard, and it sounds a little bit like that (Jonathan Richard was already in use).

Does Jonathan sing on any of these pieces?
No. Jonathan does not sing. There are voices on some tracks, but none of them are his.

How can I spread the word about this incredible music?

Who is playing that saxophone?

The Internet is an amazing resource for connecting musicians from around the world. All the professional musicians included in this process recorded their parts in their studios and delivered them for inclusion in the final mix. There are samples used on several songs, but if something sounds like a live musician playing on the track, it probably is one of the “Session Musicians”.  For example, Dima, the saxophone player, lives in Ukraine.

Are there any satanic messages concealed in the music that can be revealed by playing it backwards?

Probably not.

Who designed the cover of the album?
Jonathan Harris designed the cover. He says, “Designing the cover of an album has always been a fantasy of mine. I never thought I would do it for my own album. It added pressure to the job: I really didn’t want to disappoint the client.”

Who mixed and mastered this music?

This is the first project to be mixed and mastered by Jonathan Harris. The entire album was created at his home studio in Los Angeles.
